As far as 1928 Vincenzo Ventrella started his activity as a locksmith in Putignano (BA).

The projects and ambitions of the founder take shape when, at the beginning of the 80’s, his sons Angelo, Stefano e Fiorenzo Ventrella start up their company F.lli Ventrella s.n.c., which, with a structural enlargement, and betting on a product (metallic roller shutters) still not widely known on the market, goes through a phase of great expansion not only in Puglia but throughout southern Italy.

Always employing avant-garde machines and new technologies, and broadening its choice and range of articles, the Verolux brand sorts out beyond the national borders to face worldwide markets.

Today, running the company, now become VEROLUX s.r.l., the third Ventrella generation is also paticipating with the support of a highly qualified personnel, in order to keep up all the good job done up to the present and effectively develop still unexpressed potentialities to the utmost, trying to confirm itself as a reference point in the field of shutters in building materials through the course of time.

In general, Verolux s.r.l. offers a wide range of:

• profiles for aluminium and steel roller shutters, both classic and safety shutters, with expanded polyurethane in various kinds of density (high/half/low);

• profiles for aluminium boxes;

• accessories;

• safety accessories;

• motors.

The experience matured through the years allowed our company to create our “K series” and the “77 series”, that today represent the most ambitious and innovative projects in Verolux production.
In fact they both display a product of highest safety and remarkable aesthetic impact, unequalled worldwide.
In particular, our “K series” presents a profile with a metal insert and high density polyurethane and a bi-colour profile with medium/high density polyurethane.
The “77 series” presents a profile for rolling shutters and garage doors with a sliding-up to ceiling operation system entirely devised by Verolux.

For this purpose, our company is creating a workshop of research and development aimed at creating innovative products, of remarkable quality, capable of satisfying everyone’s needs. Our company is therefore in constant search of distinct personalities, innovative, creative, highly qualified, ready to put themselves to the test at their best to fulfil what they believe in.

For the last three years Verolux S.r.l. has been profoundly committed to the environmental question trying to found its whole philosophy on the highest protection of territory and adhering to a series of initiatives. Within the perspective of short/middle-term planning, some of these initiatives have already been carried out, other ones are still in an embryonic phase.
Firstly, our company introduced ecological polyurethane in the production of polyurethane foam contained inside the roller shutters, substituting Freon (the reagent mostly blamed for the creating the ozone hole) with simple water.
Subsequently, we certified UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 which is only second to EMAS as the highest environmental certification released by a certifying agency as CERTIQUALITY.
Also, the company subscribed a special deal with ENEL, that only supplies energy coming from power plants exclusively fed by renewable sources.
Finally, Verolux is planning to realize, inside its own facilities, a photovoltaic plant able to satisfy about 70% of its own demand ofenergy.
